I have a slight idea maybe if you have the words int he log or forming the log it would be easier to read :) also you could have the ax chopping between the words :D
I think the red outline takes away from it... maybe just the log with the words inside then the axe sticking out of the end. Then only the axe falls out of the log onto Big T
OR, if you want to keep the red outline then scale up all the other graphics so they overlap the red. The silhouette rule also applies to flat graphics, and right now this design's silhouette is just a rectangle.
nice job dude its very clear what it is. my only sugestion would be to maybe turn the glow on the out side ring down alittle bit, like in the first neon sign or even alittle bit more.

Yup, more overlapping would help.
you could varry the color alittle bit more its a little hard to see whats going on
